Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Beautiful

Amrita Gupta

People are shallow
They never try
To get to know the real you
Unless you are beautiful to them
If they can't see you
For what you are
If you are obscured
They will never give you a chance
They will never want to see the real you
You are disgusting to them
Unless you are beautiful
You could kill yourself
And if no one loves you
No one will care
If you don't know yourself
No one else will
And no one will want you
No one will even look at you twice
If you aren’t beautiful
Don't you see?
Luck doesn't matter
Intelligence doesn't matter
You could try till you die
And never get farther than "I love you"
When your dreams come crashing down
And for the trivial reason
That no one thinks you’re beautiful
Even if you think you’re beautiful
It doesn't matter
If no one else does
It will never matter
What I think of myself
